How do I create my first invitation?

Click "Create Invite" and pick a template for your occasion (weddings, gruha pravesham, birthdays, and more). Fill in your event details like title, host names, date, venue, and an optional message, then publish to get a shareable link. The whole thing takes about five minutes.

Do I need to know design or coding?

No. Every template is ready to go, so you just add your own details. There's nothing to design from scratch.

Can I edit my invitation after I publish it?

Yes. Open the event from your dashboard and choose Edit. Your changes save back to the same invitation and link, so guests who already have it will see the updated details.

Do my guests need to create an account to RSVP?

No. Guests just open your invitation link and submit their RSVP directly. There's no sign-up required on their end.

Can guests see each other's RSVPs or contact info?

No. The public invitation page only shows an aggregate attending count. Individual guest names, phone numbers, and responses are visible only to you, the host, from your dashboard.

How does meal tracking work?

When guests RSVP, they can select a meal preference (vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Jain, or no preference) and a separate one for kids if they're bringing any. Your dashboard totals these up automatically so you can plan catering without guesswork.

Can I export my guest list?

Yes. From your dashboard you can export your full guest list, including RSVP status and meal preferences, as a CSV file whenever you need it.

Can I set a guest limit?

Yes. When creating or editing an event you can set a maximum guest count. Once it's reached, new RSVPs will let guests know the event is at capacity.

How do I share my invitation?

Once published, you get a unique link you can share anywhere: WhatsApp, iMessage, email, or any app your family uses. There's a one-tap WhatsApp share button built in too.

Can I use my own photo on the invitation?

Yes. You can upload your own photo when creating or editing an event, or reuse one from your gallery of previously uploaded images.

Is Desinvite really free?

Yes. The full core experience (unlimited events, unlimited RSVPs, all templates, WhatsApp sharing, guest and meal tracking, CSV export) is free for everyone right now, with no credit card required.

Is my account and guest data secure?

Authentication runs through Supabase with industry-standard practices, connections are encrypted over HTTPS, and database access is locked down with row-level security. That means only you can see or edit your own events and guest data.

Can I delete an event or my account?

Self-serve deletion isn't available in the dashboard yet. Email support@desinvite.com and we'll take care of it for you.
